Hello All! This is ‘Mischievous Mel’ of ROCKwell UnScene and I am going to be your tour guide for the annual World’s Loudest Month festivals. It’s time to call into work and let them know you need some time off – and if they need you, they can find you in the mosh pit.
Now that you have things in order it’s time to head out to festivals in your area. You can be sure that one of those festivals on your list is part of the Worlds Loudest Month, which is a series of festivals that kick off in Florida starting with Welcome to Rockville and Fort Rock. Props to DWP and AEG for putting on events that include multiple stages, vendors, and experiences like VIP meet & greets, intimate acoustic engagements, and much more.
After Florida, we head to North Carolina for Carolina Rebellion. This monster festival is the biggest festival in the Southeast. With camping, and VIP experiences spanning the grounds of Charlotte Motor Speedway, this is a festival-must and includes the on U.S. festival appearance by Muse in 2018.
Next, we head to Northern Invasion. Nestled among the rolling hills and pastures in Somerset, WI is a weekend of the biggest names in music and up and comers that earned their way onto the stages. Foodies – you are going to like this festival and it is one of my favorites because they have a grilled cheese truck – and did I mention Wisconsin… and cheese! Yummy. I also must admit this one is near and dear to my heart being a native of Wisconsin.
Ohio… here we come. That’s right – Rock on The Range. This festival has boasted many first performances like Saint Asonia and We Are Harlot. This is the biggest of them all and really forces the bands to bring their A games. , but if they have a special thing to unveil it usually happens here. For fans that means an experience beyond compare.
Now we wind down with Rocklahoma in the pastures just outside the small town of Pryor, Oklahoma. This festival has been a staple of bringing the newer bands out but the beef of the festival is the icons of the music scene rocking the stages. A couple of these icons include Poison & Cheap Trick!
Keep in mind all these festivals are an experience that can be tailored to you like 1 day passes, VIP tickets, camping, 2 – 3 day full passes, food, adult beverages, music experiences where you can jam on instruments, lots of opportunities to score merch, and so much more.
Stay tuned during the World’s Loudest Month as we’ll be sharing our experiences with you from the road.
Until then horns up & see you in the pit \m/
