San Diego Post-Hardcore band, Thousand Below, are bright-eyed and alive as they soak in the energy of one of the most exciting times of their lives as they prepare for the release of their debut album, ‘The Love You Let Too Close’ on October 6th, 2017 through Rise Records. Their fourth single, “Sleepless”, is a track that simultaneously emits emotive intensity and impressive musicianship within a forceful blend of instrumental intensity and sing-along appeal. Rising from the ashes in search of lucidity, Thousand Below finds comfort in their puzzlement and lyrically portrays a state of flux with electric vocal emphasis on the feeling of crushing desperation.
Thousand Below is on the brink of the tour of a lifetime this Fall with The Devil Wears Prada, Silent Planet, and Veil of Maya. The ‘No Sun / No Moon’ tour runs from September 29th through November 4th and will be hitting a city near you. Grab your tickets here.
“We’re incredibly excited to drop the music video for ‘Sleepless’ which is our fourth and final single before our album’s release. We feel these four songs we chose to debut to the public in hopes of getting everyone familiar with the sound that is Thousand Below perfectly portray the different feelings and vibes you’ll find listening to ‘The Love You Let Too Close’ in its entirety. This video is extra special to us because of the awesome journey we went on to film it. We’ve always been extremely fond of coastal outdoor areas and we’ve been wanting to film a music video in the city of Santa Cruz for a very long time. We booked a couple hotel rooms and teamed up with Michael Colasardo who is an amazing Music-Video Producer and ventured up and down the coast to find the perfect shooting locations, as well as get some amazing scenery shots that were weaved into the video. To put it plain and simple, “Sleepless” is about love-loss between two people at a very damaged time in both of their lives, and the importance of understanding what someone you love is going through in their lives and how depression can complicate relationships on a whole. We felt the shooting location was great for expressing what the song means as well as the story we had for the video and we had an awesome time filming in the city.
If you guys like the video, please do us a huge favor and go pre-order our debut record, ‘The Love You Let Too Close’, which releases October 6th via Rise Records. Huge shout out to our team over at Rise Records for helping us link up with such an amazing producer for the video, and giving us the opportunity and platform to showcase our artistic vision. Thanks for listening!” – James DeBerg (Thousand Below Vocalist)
