It’s times when three veterans in the game come together that you know Rock ‘N’ Roll is alive and well. Elite rockers, Styx, REO Speedwagon and Don Felder shared the stage for a night to remember at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan.
The spectacular evening kicked off with The Eagles big shot, Don Felder, who played all of the hits including “Hotel California”, “Witchy Woman”, “Life in the Fast Lane”, “The Long Run”, “Take It Easy” and more. Bringing Styx guitarist, Tommy Shaw, to accompany him on stage for a track was a treat for the 15,000 concertgoers who sang every word of every song as if not a day has passed since they’ve been released.
Celebrating the recent release of their 16th studio album, ‘The Mission’, Styx lit up the full house with an energy that was contagious and full of life. Playing hits such as “The Grand Illusion”, “Light Up”, “Lady”, “Too Much Time on My Hands” and “Fooling Yourself”, concertgoers of all ages and walks of life danced the night away as the mixture of a spectacular stage set up and hit after hit blended together fluidly and felt as sweet as a glass of wine on the porch in the summertime.
Lead vocalist, Kevin Cronin, and the gang behind one of the greatest rock bands of all time, REO Speedwagon, closed the evening with an old-school charm that had concertgoers fighting feelings of nostalgia while absorbed in the electric performance by the legendary Illinois rockers. Playing hits such as “Golden Country”, “Time For Me to Fly”, “Ridin’ The Storm Out” and “Take It on the Run”, a night to remember was put to rest by the iconic rockers and lifelong fans left the show with nothing but a dose of sweet, summertime joy.
Going strong and still rocking stages worldwide, Styx, REO, and Don Felder are sharing their lifelong love of Rock ‘N’ Roll with concertgoers that are on cloud nine seeing the perfect time-honored combination come to life.
