So What?! Music Festival has come to a close. Day 2 was jammed packed with killer bands on all 3 stages. Most of the bands were new to us and to me that is the essence of So What?! Fest. To see the bands that are up and coming, the next big name, the break out bands, etc… If you are a music connoisseur and you are looking for something new and different, then So What?! has a buffet of choices.
The bands we at ROCKwell UnScene and Tattoo. com checked out today were: Keep Flying, Something More, He is Legend, Drug Church, Gold Steps, Assuming We Survive, Like Moths to Flames, and much more. So sit back and buckle up as I introduce you to New Music and up and coming bands. Your earholes will be invaded, your face will melt, and you will mosh, mosh, mosh your way with us through the day.

“We are the only band on this tour with horns”, Sax Player John James from Keep Flying was proud to say. You heard that right, sax player. Now ask yourself how will that give you an eargasm and make you explode from the inside out? If you throw down like John James, you have taken the horn section to a whole new level. The intensity that this whole band has will make you a fan and blow the skin right off your bones. Check them out when they hit a town near you. You can hear the full interview of music, tatts, and cartoons from ROCKwell UnScene coming soon to Tattoo.com.

Something More on the “WOW” scale hits epic. With a vocalist that can not only sing while his band is backing him but also when I put him on the spot, solo, no music. If you want to hear the best sounding “Happy Birthday” song sang by Tim Jagielski (lead vocals/guitar) check it out at Tattoo.com coming soon. If you like Pop/Punk done right this is going to be your favorite band.

He Is Legend proved that Rock Is Not Dead wherever they play. You can feel the passion of the music as it burst into the crowd and into your cranium.

Drug Church erupts with a metal vengeance when they hit the stage. If you like hard Alternative music you need to check this band out.

Our SoCal neighbors and friends in Assuming We Survive are at it again and doing what they do best and that seizes your attention and make you part of the show. With constant interaction with the fans, lead vocalist Adrian Estrada will get you jumping, crowd surf with you, take a pic… and well, if you want to know more go see them live.

Like Moths to Flames will savagely bore through your ears and blow them right off. That should be enough said. Put simply, this Metal / Hardcore band will burn down any stage they play. I left the set a huge fan. The band is emerging from the underground scene and demolishing the masses with one of the best shows I have seen.

As you can see, day 2 of So What?! left me with many new bands to rock out to. It was a happy surprise to see many of them. I now have new music to share and new bands to be fans of. So I guess that means that So What?! did what it was suppose to do… give the next bands exposure to new fans. Be sure to support local bands because all nationals started out in a local scene.
