Bullet for My Valentine, Devour the Day, Badflower, Papa Roach, Skillet, Beartooth, Motionless in White, From Ashes to New, Fozzy, Bad Omens and a few others brought scores of Rock, Nu-Metal, and Hardcore fans, not already from the Northeast to Camden, New Jersey. Why you ask? Rock Allegiance 2018 of course.
You can tell by the lineup, this 1-day festival brought the masses a diverse melting pot of rock and metal. If you missed Rock Allegiance, you missed one of the best thrashings the East Coast experienced during the Fall festival season. As always, this festival offered more than music. It offered a variety of eats and treats, adult beverages and a vast array of vendors. One of my favorite vendors to hang with at almost every festival we cover is Fuck Cancer. This non-profit works with bands to bring to life cancer patients rock and roll dreams. They do this by providing personal meet and greets as well as side stage access for patients who are fans of a particular band(s) who are playing the festival.
There are countless reasons that Rock Allegiance is a must. Put simply, if you are a music fan this is a must. Big thanks to Metal Mars who opened up her nearby accommodations to Rockwell and myself, Mischievous Mel, as well as photographing several bands, interviewing Devour the Day and Fozzy, and just being a totally amazing person!
