Not easily put into one genre, Nokay blends elements of dark pop, alternative and R&B influences to create a unique brand that is a hybrid of organic and synthetic sounds. The single was self-produced by Nokay and mixed in California at ReAmp Studios by notable producer/mix engineer Daniel Martin (Bryan Lanning, Morgan Leigh Band). Nokay will soon be finishing up more music for his new album entitled ‘The One I Feed’, and “Fear” will be included as part of the effort.
Nokay is a genre-bending, self-produced artist from Pennsylvania. Although his first love in the musical realm was singing, he grew up playing piano as well. When he began writing songs, he quickly transitioned his structural ideas into studio productions. These musical aspects combined with his attention to poetics creates a song with density. His music doesn’t come from any one thing, and as a result, it doesn’t sound like any one thing. Nokay is currently based out of the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania and is working on an EP and performance repertoire following the release of his debut single “Fear”.
