The warm, summer night in Madison, Wisconsin got even hotter last Sunday when Pop Evil, with special guests Stitched Up Heart and Emissary Echo, pulled into town for a night of musical mayhem at the historic Majestic Theater.
Emissary Echo, a Rock/Hard Rock band hailing from Bismark, ND, was the opening band of the evening. I would describe their sound as a combination of modern rock elements similar to Breaking Benjamin and Chevelle. If you consider yourself a true Rock fan, you’ll love these guys. I have seen a ton of bands, and for one to stick out to me, they need to have that little “extra something”. Emissary Echo has exactly that. If you want to find out for yourself, get your hands on Emissary Echo’s self-engineered debut album “Erasing The Negatives“. When they come to your town, go see them live. I promise that you will leave as a fan.
Mixi – Vocals, Decker – Drums, Merritt – Guitar, and Randy – Bass, is Stitched Up Heart. With a sound that could be described as a blend of Butchers Babies meets Gemini Syndrome with a dash of In this Moment, the result is nothing less than Rocktastic. Stitched Up Heart looks as sexy as they sound. They definitely have that “extra something” that makes them memorable from the moment they step on stage. This band goes above and beyond when it comes to engaging and connecting with their fans…a rare find in the music industry today and a key factor to their growing success.
When you go to a Stitched Up Heart show, you are “Never Alone” because the house is full of both forever fans and first timers. As a first time fan in the crowd, you will experience their intense energy when each member looks at you with locking eyes and a wall-penetrating gaze that pierces every muscle, fiber, and tissue of your body… all while you are being rocked out of your skin! If this is an experience you crave, get yourself to one of their shows. Their must-have new album, “Never Alone” is available to purchase now.
Because we tour all around the U.S. (almost like a band ourselves), we see Pop Evil all the time on the road. Take our word for it: they are taking over stages everywhere and giving the rock scene the kick in the face it desperately needs. Pop Evil is: Vocals, Leigh Kakaty, Guitar, Davey Grahs, Guitar, Nick Fueling, Bass, Matt DiRito, and on drums, Hayley Cramer. We have seen this band perform at all types of venues, from the biggest festival stages in the country to mid-size clubs in different cities. Each time we’ve seen them, they’ve put on a great show.
So what goes down at a Pop Evil show? Rock baby… simple, pure, infectious, booty swingin’ Rock. If you do not get a chance to see this band live, then do the next best thing – buy the album “UP”.
I promise you will not be disappointed!
