Spiritual seeker and enlightened human being, Suki Rae, has incorporated her extensive explorations around the world into her artistry. It is palpable that Suki Rae has walked through many shoes throughout her latest album release, ‘Can’t Stop Now’: here’s our thoughts.
Kicking off with the first track, “Peace by Piece”, the album begins with a peaceful piano opening which leads into a lyrical journey into awareness as Suki Rae and Company come together to shed light on the lack of humanness that is currently laced into corporate affairs. “Can’t Stop Now” is the second and title track that carries a theatherical feeling as Suki Rae and Company lyrically speak of looking deep into the fires of our lives to overcome our own egos and enter a space of selflessness. The third track, “I’m Gonna Climb (to the top of the Mountain)” travels through feelings of hope and prosperity as Suki Rae lyrically speaks boldly of being within a place of confidence as she travels through a variety of experiences that enhance her one precious human life. “Water from the Fountain (Peace on Earth)” is the fourth track that begins by incorporating the flute and leads into an instrumental energy that speaks of healing and celebrating our differences as we walk through our lives and learn to trust ourselves along the way.
The fifth track, “Walking Mandala”, begins with a heavenly glimpse of serenity from the chimes as Suki Rae and Company soften their vocal style and create the feeling of openness within listeners. “Waitin’ for the Light” is the sixth track which lyrically tackles the battle of patience and speaks of the power within reaching out for help and seeking to find a place of acceptance within. The seventh track, “There’s Someone Watchin’ Over You”, carries a Jazzy instrumental element and leads into a vocal energy that creates a feeling akin to viewing a fun and upbeat musical within the listener. “Cast Away” is the ninth track that incorporates an opening that carries spiritual instrumentals and leads into a lyrical journey of learning to overcome isolation and welcoming love back into your life. Closing out with “Alowan (Song of Praise)”, Suki Rae and Company end with the influence of Jungle and praise their higher power and the influence their connection has had on their lives.
