Created during the turmoil of the pandemic by Steven Miller (vocals, lead guitar) and Cary Parsons (vocals, rhythm guitar), melodic nu-rock/alt-metal outfit Dark Remedy unveils their new single/music video, “Right Back To You,” via Wake Up! Music Rocks.
In October 2022, Dark Remedy joined forces with renowned Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum drummer, Paul Crosby (formerly of Saliva) and ColdWards. Crosby’s powerful chops elevated Dark Remedy’s music to a new level.
Written by Miller, Parsons, and Jonathan Norris of Kingdom Collapse, “Right Back To You” was produced by Norris. The video was directed by Thomas Crane of Kill Devil.
Dark Remedy’s sound showcases heavy, resounding guitars, contagious hooks, mesmerizing synths, and devastating drums, evoking deep feelings of life’s highs and lows.
Last year, Dark Remedy dropped four singles, “Blood Money,” which hit #15 on the Secondary Market Chart, as well as “Haunted,” “Now Or Never,” and “Possession.” Their most recent track, “Guilty As Charged,” released in June 2024, amassed more than 75,000 streams on Spotify.
The lyrics of “Right Back To You” narrate a love on the brink of obliteration, yet the narrator refuses to allow the spark of flickering passion to vanish.
“I can see you falling apart / Can’t find the words to save you / I can sense the pain in your heart / But i won’t let these dark waves take you / It’s pushing / It’s pulling it’s / Breaking you down / So don’t let go / Don’t let the love burn out / Don’t let the sky fall down / I know I’ll make this right / And I’ll make it right back to you.”
Opening on shimmering textures, “Right Back To You” flows into an atmospheric, alt-rock melody topped by evocative, impassioned vocals, dripping with determination and ardent commitment. Rich, soaring harmonies imbue the tune with dreamy depth and echoing dimension. Poignant and aching with surging emotions, the outro forms a gleaming, layered wall of sound.
