It’s festival time again and Monster Energy did not disappoint with its 2018 line-up for Fort Rock!
Despite a changing venue, moving from Fort Meyers to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this year’s event was slammed packed with big names, huge crowds, and an ever-impressive batch of vendors. Temperatures were hot, but fans didn’t seem to care as they crammed into the general admission area to snag the closest standing room to the stage, hoping for a chance close encounter with their favorite rock stars.
Saturday kicked off to a great start, with a decent starting-day line up which featured bands like ’68, Bad Wolves, Power Trip, Texas Hippie Coalition, Hatebreed, Trivium, Underoath, Bullet for My Valentine, Halestorm, Shinedown, Five Finger Death Punch, and Godsmack.
Sunday was the true winner of the line-up, though. The closing day of the festival saw an incredible variety of talent, including Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown, Toothgrinder, Avatar, Red Sun Rising, Pop Evil, Sevendust, Hollywood Undead, Stone Temple Pilots, Stone Sour, and Breaking Benjamin.
Of course, the real highlight of the weekend, however, was the Prince of Darkness himself. The intensity and size of the crowd increased dramatically picked up as Sunday progressed, with it spiking in a near frenzy as Ozzy Osbourne made his way to the stage. Gotta say, the man still has it! His set did not disappoint!
Overall, the show seemed to be an incredible success. Definitely looking forward to the next one!
