“What do you mean” Justin Bieber got a face tattoo? The Biebs confessed to GQ earlier this year about wanting a face tattoo when he is “really old, not super old, but maybe, like, forties or fifties or something” but it seems that the “Boyfriend” singer just couldn’t wait any longer.
The 22-year-old has been traveling all over the country promoting his “Purpose” tour but decided to mix things up a bit while in New York over the weekend (and not with another hair-style this time). Bieber and his close friend Joe Termini decided to visit tattoo artist Jonboy Valena, of the West 4th Tattoo Parlor in New York City. The two friends decided on matching tiny cross tattoos right under their left eyes. The two received their new tats right before Justin decided to perform a surprise concert at a Manhattan hotspot called “Up & Down”.
In an interview with ‘US Weekly’, Jonboy said that the small cross tattoo “represents his journey in finding purpose with God”. Shortly afterward, the celebrity tattoo artist posted a picture on Instagram of himself with his two new freshly inked clients, revealing he also has the same tattoo right under his eye. The tattoo is just small enough to be confused with a freckle but symbolic enough to make a big impact on the three of their lives.
This isn’t the first celebrity tattoo for Jonboy, who has inked other stars like Kylie Jenner and Hailey Baldwin and definitely not the first tattoo for Justin either. The singer now has over fifty tattoos, so why not one more tiny one? Given the background and meaning of Bieber’s new tattoo we can’t imagine he’s going to be “Sorry” about it anytime soon and we can’t wait to see what he decides to surprise us with next!
