Italian Musician, Sebastian O, has created his latest release, ‘In Your Room’, through getting in touch with his heart of gold that is sprinkled within each song. Here’s our track-by-track thoughts.
Kicking off with the first track, “Following Your Eyes”, lyrics that metaphorically mesh nature with the inner emotive combustion that Sebastian feels when he looks into his lovers eyes leads listeners into a state of mesmerization when it comes to his palpable level of depth and sensitivity. The second track, “Cheers”, begins with a slow acoustic strum that swiftly shifts into the devouring passion that Sebastian feels as he lyrically speaks of the little moments of life that are often overlooked through the manic workings of the mind. “Blue and Gold” is the third track that begins with a nearly exact feeling of a Dave Matthews Band release as Sebastian creates a euphoric dose of sensory delight through soothing instrumentals that leave listeners in a state of utter ease.
The fourth track, “Jacqueline”, captures the delicacy of Sebastian’s feelings as he lyrically clarifies to both himself and listeners that his love for another is boundless and still fully alive within his soulful heart. “Colors” is the fifth track that picks up the pace as Sebastian lyrically explores the feeling of combustion within that he feels when he explores the eyes of his lover as he recognizes that he is able to deeply connect and mirror pieces of himself through her. The sixth track, “I Won’t Move”, lyrically speaks of Sebastian’s dedication for his lover through thick and thin even through the storms of life that tend to test the breadth of connections. “Irish Rain” is the seventh track that puts Sebastian’s vocals to the test and showcases his profound ability to reach chilling heights with his musicianship as his entrancing and poetically rich vocals send listeners into a state of bliss. The ninth track, “I Wanna Be Sedated”, is Sebastian’s hypnotic version of the original that would serve to enhance a dark atmosphere in a smoky bar in the middle of nowhere. Closing out with “I Live in a Wardrobe”, lyrically speaks of Sebastian’s conscious realization that society tends to cling to things rather than experiences and that the only “things” in life that stir him within tend to come through experience, love, nature and simplicity.
A sense of time naturally collapses throughout every listen of ‘In Your Room’. If you’re a fan of fellow musicians such as James Blake, Dave Matthews Band and Damien Rice, then keep an eye on the ride ahead for Sebastian O on Soundcloud.
