It had only been a few months since we last interviewed Skillet (and Fight the Fury) lead vocalist and bassist John Cooper on camera at The Sylvee in Madison, Wisconsin. However, at that time, although we knew Skillet’s new album was going to be released in the not too distant future, Mr. Cooper was not allowed to divulge any details. We saw John again in early May (but did not interview him at that time), but again he couldn’t talk details about the new album – but we were told we would get the low-down when we saw Skillet again at INKCARCERATION in mid-July.
Finally INKCARCERATION arrived and we were given the green light to talk about the new album, ‘Victorious’, in detail and John was finally able to spill the beans after teasing us for months. Although the new album was the main focus, every conversation #MischievousMel has with John seems to go off the rails in some way.
