My tattoo style is Realistic with very strong colors and contrasts. I have an approach to tattooing which can be best described as a painterly feel. When preparing a project, I choose references and then I totally personalise it to suit my style. I specialise in realistic nature, like flowers, birds, and animals. I am always trying to push my boundaries and challenge myself, especially experimenting with new and different techniques.
What are some of your inspirations? What inspires your art?
If you truly look at your world, you can find inspiration everywhere. I truly take my inspiration from everything within nature.
Tell us about your favorite personal tattoos and the artists that brought them to life.
My favorite personal tattoo is made by my wife and it was her first tattoo. When I first started tattooing, it was 22 years ago and the tattoo artist in my area where not that good, so I ended up with quite a lot of crappy tattoos.
How do you see your style evolving over time?
Over my 22 years, my evolution has been directly entwined in the evolution of the products. As tattoo inks became better, so my technique and art became better. As machines changed from Coil to Rotary, my way of tattooing changed. So as the Tattoo industry grew, I grew as an artist. In the past, I tattooed in a different style and now I tattooed realistically and I am very happy with where I am.
What were you doing for a living prior to becoming a tattoo artist?
When I started tattooing I was 16 years old and I decided then that this is what I wanted to do.
What creative project is coming up next for you?
My next upcoming projects are Seminars in USA and in Europe.
What do you do outside of tattooing to contribute to your creativity?
I like to do oil painting, photography and visiting museums and Art Galleries
What is your favorite placement on the body to tattoo?
I like to prepare compositions for arm sleeves.
Last but certainly not least, any messages for admirers of your tattooing?
Hard work and dedication is something I have done all my life and it pays off.
