DIRT FEST! SATURDAY AUGUST 13, 2016 – PONTIAC, MICHIGAN

Festival season is in full swing and the next one to attend is Dirt Fest 2016 in Pontiac, Michigan. Save the date, Saturday August 13th, to be at this all ages day of music. Taking the stages will be headliners Killswitch Engage with Asking Alexandria, Hatebreed, ATTILA, Born of Osiris, Walls of Jericho, Bury your Dead, Wilson, Soil, Beyond Threshold and dozens more. If you are familiar with Dirt Fest, you know it has a new home this year. The location may be new (The Crofoot Festival Grounds in downtown Pontiac), but Dirt Fest remains the same entity as always, remaining a must for any music and festival fan.

Born of Osiris

Dirt Fest is and always has been a platform for local bands to be spotlighted. This year’s event will feature local acts such as Born Of Osiris, For The Fallen Dreams, and It Lies Within.  Every year the festival also offers a big opportunity for up and coming bands in the Michigan music scene to make their name known – including Kilbury Unit, 6 Prong Paw, and others in their journey to the become the next “big” thing on the national and international scene.

The overall picture of what Dirt Fest is can be completed when you throw into that mix current international headlining bands as the aforementioned Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed, & Asking Alexandria plus other up and comers from other music scenes (for me that is Westfield Massacre from LA).  Dirt Fest has a little something for everyone who loves hard rock and metal. That in my opinion is the recipe for a great festival and that is what Dirt Fest is cooking up.
