Denver Electronica Artist, Meanr Mynyr, has allowed nothing to get in his way and has been on fire in 2017 consistently releasing music and staying focused on his perception of the prize. ‘The Sacrifice’ is Meanr’s latest EP drop, and here’s our play-by-play take on the soulfully uplifting and vibrant release.
Kicking off with the first track, “Sanctified”, Meanr meticulously blends genres and ties in a Jazzy groove that serves as a gateway into Meanr’s creatively rich mind and thought-provoking musings. The second track, “Saint James”, echoes between Dubstep, Downbeat and Jazz while scratching the surface of Classical over a piece that’ll blast off in a variety of genre-bending tents at festivals yearning for a unique beat that’ll knock listeners off of their feet.

The self-titled track, “The Sacrifice”, opens up the curtains and leads listeners into Meanr’s inner space as he takes a bold step in the direction of creating a theatrical piece that would compliment an Action film with grace. The fourth track, “From the Ashes”, creates the technical impression of a human beings journey that began at the bottom and leads to solid ground through overcoming challenges and experiencing massive sacrifices that in hindsight create a more purposeful approach within the creative process and life itself. Closing out with “Party to Damascus”, Meanr begins with a tamed-down Ambience that works as the harmonically open space emerges into an instrumental solo that is soothing and serves to develop a deeper interest in Meanr’s dynamic approach toward the production process. Notably, the way that Meanr blends an upbeat piano into the ending of “Party to Damascus” is soulful and a testament to the way that Meanr’s musical journey is a playground of instrumental cleverness and originality.
