For the last couple years, we’ve had the pleasure of covering one of our favorite Texas bands many times all across the U.S. (we even saw them perform in our hometown of Riverside, CA). Houston Open Air was going to be our first and only opportunity to see Sons Of Texas in 2016. We knew the band was going to put on an incredible show, but Mother Nature decided she wasn’t going to let them play that weekend (along with 29 other bands). We did, however, get to speak with lead singer Mark Morales, who gave us his only vocal performance of the festival when he serenaded Mischievous Mel with “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”. He talked with us about what’s new with the band and also told us about his beautiful and very personal tattoos.
