Italian Singer/Songwriter, Luca Bash, lyrically seeks clarity throughout his latest album release, ‘Keys of Mine’. Kicking off with the first track, “Backstage”, melodic guitar solos add an element of mystery within a diverse landscape of instrumentals that range from Jazz, Rock, and Blues. “Beyond the Screen” is the second track in which Luca lyrically speaks on the importance of embracing the light within and how mass society is leading their lives behind a screen which has put a damper on a budding human connection. The third track, “Your Tomorrow”, slows it down into a lyrical ode influencing another to seek what sets their soul on fire and simultaneously explore a level of self-love that has yet to be reached. “Paradise Cafè” is the fourth track which mimics the instrumental likes of Dave Matthews Band with an opening guitar ambiance that is abounding with celestial energy and artistically frenetic riffs that coruscate through the minds of intrigued listeners.
The fifth track, “Forever Like Asleep” begins with a Bluesy blast of soul that leads into a lyrical tale of leading life asleep at the wheel and allowing external influences hinder personal growth. “The Sun’s Everlasting Smile” is the sixth track which begins with an entrancing Jazz instrumental that blends into softened vocals from Luca that reflects the impassioned songwriting style that emits an aura of love. The seventh track, “Women’s Way (Nu Shu)”, is an album highlight that mimics the likes of Gomez over a lyrical exploration of diversity and choosing to gain understanding through stepping into the shoes of an individual that is encountering a lack of freedom and simple human rights.
The ninth track, “Black Swan’s Walls”, picks up the pace with a guitar groove that is perfect for a summer concert under the sun amongst friends and family immersed within an atmosphere of love. “Jekyll & Hyde” is the tenth track which lyrically explores the balance of dark and light and confronting self-imposed demons within that distract an individual from their highest self. The eleventh track, “Crumblin’ Lover”, is an Indie blast of lyrical realism that speaks of an interpersonal connection that robs another of their most potent human elements and overall freedom from destruction. “Millennium Idiot” is the twelfth track that is full of instrumental bliss that floats into a lyrical dose of Luca’s perception of how society has taken a turn in the wrong direction through media influence and political disconnect. “Love and Lust” is the fourteenth track that highlights the battle that individuals face when putting themselves in a position to either subconsciously choose a life of pain through lust or a life of abundance through love. Closing out with “Upwind”, Luca closes with ease and creates a musical space similar to Counting Crows back in their ‘Hard Candy’ days.
