Australian Singer/Songwriter, Andy Michaels, has created an Adult-Contemporary work of musical art that is grounded in the present while serving as a deeply introspective glimpse into the workings of a wise mind.
Kicking off with the first track, “Today’s Tomorrow”, Andy reminds listeners that our time is not limitless and we have a choice to take purpose-driven steps in the directions of our dreams over Pop instrumentals that aid in crafting the right tone that is later enhanced by a female chorus adding a delicate touch of serenity. The second track, “Angel”, kicks off with thunder that leads into an impassioned spill of love while Andy’s vocals tell the tale of a lover in the distance that he is aching to further connect with in the physical world. “Just Because you Love Someone” is the third track that begins with sultry instrumentals while Andy lyrically paints a refreshingly bright musical picture speaking of remaining grounded when falling in love. The fourth track, “When I Close my Eyes”, strums into listeners hearts with mollifying acoustic guitar-work that blends into romantic lyricism that soothes the mind and guides two lovers into a place of trust. “I Just want to be the One” is the fifth track that is laced with vulnerability and tenderness that bleeds into Andy’s sincere delivery which speaks of his devotion toward an individual whose mere presence speaks directly to his soul.
The seventh track, “Will There Be Love”, is pleasantly enhanced by an airy chorus while Andy’s vocals mimic the likes of Peter Gabriel over lyricism that speaks of recognizing one of the utmost purposes of life; sharing the love that you have built within. The eighth track, “Where are you Now”, begins with gifting listeners with an instant smile as a child’s innocent laugh is used to enhance the wide open space that Andy lyrically creates while speaking of missing pieces of his home-life. “Home” is the ninth track that comes straight from the heart as Andy stumbles and questions his journey as he searches to find what he presently equates to home. The tenth track, “Back to Me”, begins with an Arabian instrumental intro that mimics “Desert Rose” by Sting and leads into introspective lyricism that showcases the depth of contemplation that Andy endures throughout his explorations. The twelfth track, “Lucretia’s Eylandt”, is an album highlight that begins with instrumental work that fills the air with tranquility and leads into a slow uprising of energetic momentum while Andy lyrically wishes the apple of his eye the absolute best in life. Closing out with “Angel (With Choir)”, Andy infuses an already beautiful song with enhanced emotion and leaves listeners within a state of grace.
Navigating through many dynamics of love and intimacy, Andy Michaels leaves no stone unturned throughout ‘Revisited’. Andy has played guitar ever since enduring a car accident which left him temporarily incapacitated before he was 20 years of age. Notably, a variety of his works of poetic art have been published by the International Library of Poetry in the United States.
