Commonly today, the portion of society that has taken an interest in body art, tattoos and body piercings, is looked at differently by the rest of the world. It is my belief that this stereotype is due to a lack of understanding by those who do not partake in body art.
I, Shaun Wagner, a student of Axia College of the University of Phoenix, am writing an expository essay which will talk about the origin of tattoos and body piercings, as well as a consolidated reason for subject the human body to this art form.
This purpose of this email is to gain different perspectives from people who have obviously indulged into body art, so I ask…….
What type of art do you have, tattoos, piercings, or both? (brief description)
How did you get started or become interested in body art?
What is the reason behind your art work? Why do you feel it is worth it to take
part in this painful pleasure?
When you answer these inquiries, feel free to be as open as you want. Whether your art work is a way of remembering a loved one, a way to build character, or just show your love for a favorite sports team or celebrity, nothing is considered foolish to me. I need your personal input. And rest assured, there will be no specific examples or names mentioned in my writing. My goal is to take all the feedback from this email survey and create a general reason(s) for my essay.
I thank you ahead of time for your participation in this survey and I look forward to reading your responses.
