Flash City Tattoo in Nashville, Tenn.

Submitted by Jodie Michalak on Sun, 2014-06-01 16:12

Growing up in the concrete jungle of San Fernando Valley, CA, Jason St. Clair later moved to Nashville, Tennessee and opened Flash City Tattoo after becoming interested in tattooing, thanks to a heavy inspiration of Tattoo Times books and the guys at 222.

Specializing in both Japanese and colorful tattoo work, Jason was busy drawing up his next design during our interview but I managed to borrow a few moments from his hectic life to ask him what life would be like if he wasn’t a successful tattoo artist.

Located in the small town of Hillsboro, Ohio, My Ink Spot LLC is owned by tattoo artist Chad Shelton, who began his career with a hobbyist interest in the art.

After completing an apprenticeship at a local tattoo shop Chad legalized a separate space in his home to begin honing his mastery in every tattoo style, from black and grey, realism, to bio-mechanical tattoos.

Devine Line Tattoo in Warrentown, Virginia

Submitted by Jodie Michalak on Sun, 2014-06-01 15:49

There must be something sort of divine about Mike “the Tattoo Man Miller”, owner of Devine Line Tattoo in Warrentown, Virginia.

Mike’s favorite book is The Bible, he attracts all types of clients that often consider him one of the most talented artists in the industry, and the best part of his day is making complete strangers happy.

While Mike may appear rough and mean on the outside he says people are always shocked when they realize he’s just a nice guy who was popular in high school.

Tattoo Cover Up

Submitted by Naomi V on Fri, 2014-05-30 11:30

Even the most careful of tattoo collectors may need a tattoo cover up at least once in their life. Sometimes we get our tattoos young and don't research the tattoo artists thoroughly enough. We may end up with a tattoo of a heart that looks more like a kidney bean. Or perhaps some of us have gotten a tattoo with our soul mates name on it, only later to find out that they WERE NOT our soul mate...in the slightest. Those rose colored glasses can be very dangerous to walk into a tattoo shop with, but hey, it happens! A tattoo cover up can be a true life saver.
