Tell me about your shop and the artists:

The more years go on, the harder this one is to summarize, and that’s not a bad thing.

Off the Map Tattoo stemmed from TattooNOW.com which is the tech-y side of the business where we produce website, apps, DVD’s, webinars and more for tattooists all over the world.

Gabe Ripley, founder of TattooNOW and Off the Map, opened our first location located in Easthampton, MA in December of 2005.

The Smell of Sweet Deposit Money

Many tattoo artists and shops require appointment deposits because their time is valuable. If you’ve ever no-showed at your doctor’s, hairdresser or dentist’s (understandable) appointment, then you can’t complain too much about the roles being reversed.

Things happen, emergencies come up, and life sometimes just gets in the way. (Even in the way of a scheduled tattoo appointment.)

When your customer books their session, you’ve entered into an agreement. They show up, you show up. You do the work and then get paid.

Angel Tattoo

One of the most popular types of tattoos that people choose is the angel tattoo. There are many personal meanings and beliefs associated with angels, both as a religious entity-a messenger of God, as well as a symbold of something good in life, such as a loved one that has made a positive difference in a person's life.

Small Tattoos

Small Tattoos

Not every meaningful design has to be large. Many people opt for small tattoos that are simple yet significant.

Whether it’s a small tattoo or a star added to your Old School tattoo sleeve, there’s a place for everything if you choose to make a permanent mark.

Not every artist will be excited about the small tattoo request, so just remember that artists use their skills to  create body art that is memorable and that has an impact.
