She can’t afford you? Big Mistake….HUGE!

Do you remember the movie Pretty Woman? Actress Julia Roberts, a prostitute in the film, walked into a Beverly Hills boutique with unlimited spending power. She was frowned upon by the salesladies because she looked and dressed differently than them. The dialogue went a little something like this:

“May I help you?”

“I’m just checking things out.”

“Are you looking for something in particular?”

“Yes, something conservative. You’ve got nice stuff. How much would this cost?”

“I don’t think this would fit you.”

“Well I didn’t ask if it would fit. I asked how much it cost.  Look, I’ve got money to spend in here.”

“I don’t think we have anything here for you.”

The next day, she waltzed straight back into that boutique with an armful of shopping bags, and as the same condescending saleslady looked up her, the unforgettable slam went down:

“Do you remember me? I was here yesterday and you wouldn’t help me. You work on commission right?”

(She waves bags and bags of expensive purchases)

“Big Mistake....HUGE!”

Is this how YOU treat the high class lady (or the tramp) that walks through your door, or that calls your studio asking for a tattoo price estimate?
