Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a cyborg, or at least have a cyborg arm? Check out this amazing 3D tattoo done by tattoo artist Tony Booth from Dabs Tattoo in Southport England. The tattoo won Best Blackwork at the Tattoo Tea Party in Manchester. Booth’s wife Lisa, who runs Dabs Tattoo with Tony said, “There were 370 artists at the Tea Party in Manchester, and 25 pieces in the final Blackwork category. Tony did really well to win. I posted the video on Facebook, and then started receiving lots of notifications. It has had 15.7 million views on Tattoodo on Facebook alone.”
Incredibly, this 3D Cyborg tattoo looks so realistic that even when this lucky tattoo collector moves, the 3D effect Booth was able to achieve, continues to look real, as if the shadows from the bionic pieces are moving along with the arm. This was a labour of love for the tattoo artist, as well as the wearer, as it took over 18 months to finish. It was definitely worth the time, pain, and money to be able to show this tattoo off!
If you’ve ever wished you could be a cyborg, this is as close to it as you can get at the present time. There are many biomechanical and bio-organic tattoos out there that are beautiful and amazing, but not many of them have such a realistic design that the 3D effect caused by inked shadows continue to fool the eye while the wearer moves around. While it’s impressive in the still picture above, you must see the full effect. Check out the video, showing the man moving, while the 3D effect continues to work:
