Watch our latest installment of “Tattoo 3sixty” with Adam Ciferri:
Adam Ciferri is a veteran tattooer based out of Auspicious Tattoo, a private tattoo studio in Boulder, Colorado. He began tattooing on the east coast, but moved westward to open up his own shop and spread his years of experience, knowledge and machine building expertise to make tattooing safer, more efficient and better for all professional artists.
Ciferri first started making tattoo machines out of necessity; early on in his career, he was unable to make the tattoo machines he purchased to run to his liking, and nobody gave him a straight, well informed answer about what needed to be done. Frustrated, Ciferri went through a trial and error process until he mastered the art of machine building and began building machines for other artists as well.
Ciferri met John Montgomery of The Grand Tattoo Lodge in Redlands, CA, about 10 years ago at the Musink tattoo convention; they got to talking about tattoo machines and inks, something they both had a hand in manufacturing, and remained in contact ever since. Ciferri also used to make his own pigment and tattoo ink, but once Montgomery introduced him to his signature Alla Prima Ink, Adam was sold.
Alla Prima Ink proved to exceed Ciferri’s expectations; it’s efficient and safe application, along with it’s vivid and bright color palette ensures a beautiful tattoo that will go in strong, heal quickly and stay looking great for many years; ideal for all professional tattoo artists. Other than it’s high quality, Alla Prima is predispersed, free of additives, PET plastics, acrylics and solvents, putting both the artist and client at ease regarding any health concerns.
Fascinated with mechanics, motors anything that buzzes, Ciferri has dedicated his life to improving the tattoo industry through quality tattoos with quality machines; factor that in with Montgomery’s Alla Prima Ink and you have a recipe for a timeless, safe, efficient and unique tattoo experience.
