Sons Of Texas, All That Remains, and Alter Bridge… that is a line-up with some serious chops. To our delight, it all went down at House of Blues in Dallas TX. It is rare for me to see a show that I don’t say, “well some of the bands were great, but the others made me want to rip the ears off the side of my head”. In this case, the line-up was so stellar that I could have honestly sat through 2-hour sets of each band.
Sons of Texas is an infant in the terms of time being a band, having been conceived in 2013. Sons of Texas is Mark Morales- vocals, Mike Villarreal- drums, Nick Villarreal- bass, Jon Olivarez- rhythm guitar, and Jes De Hoyos- lead guitar. With just a few short years under their belt, this band has ripped into the music scene and are owning it. Sons of Texas has lived up to the standard that everything in TX is bigger, and that includes the talent in this band. They have stepped onto stages in support of many huge names in the music scene and are now touring with All That Remains and Alter Bridge. In support of the band’s second album “Forged by Fortitude”, we got a chance to chat with the band. Take a listen and hear all the scoop from Sons of Texas themselves, coming right here to Tattoo.com.
All That Remains, with their latest release, ‘Madness’, gave one of their best performances to date. I have seen them more than a handful of times and have never left with a bad taste in my mouth. This House of Blues show was no exception. In true All That Remains fashion, the fans got a beast of a show. Speaking of beast, we got a chance to hang with bass player Aaron Patrick and we chewed the fat about “Madness”, his stunning ink from neck to feet, and on getting your beast on at the gym. This interview not only is a must hear for music lovers, but ink and health lovers as well. Hear it from Aaron and turn up the ‘Madness’ when his interview hits Tattoo.com.
Alter Bridge took the stage and the crowd went crazy, which is never a surprise to us. That is what happens when guitarist and vocalist Myles Kennedy, guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips take the stage. They prove over and over why this band has such loyal and passionate fans. Touring on the album “The Last Hero”, the band is a must see. In fact, new dates have been added to this run, because even though the album was released in 2016, the demand to hear the new music and to see this band has stayed stronger. Be sure to be front and center when they hit your city.
