Hailing from Memphis, TN quintet S.A.M (AKA Savage After Midnight) consisting of Shi Eubank on Vocals, Jeremiah Lipscomb – Guitars, JT Shaheen – Keyboards, Vocals, Landon Fox – Bass and Derek Bjørnson – Drums are becoming quiet a force to be reckoned with. Already whipping up a storm in the media world with the bands debut EP 11:59, an energized emotional collection of songs yielding them huge praise. Nothing could stand in their way. Then Covid19 struck and had the whole globe punching the brakes. Continuing on unusual yet tough times with even more power and conviction saw S.A.M. release their track ‘Remedy’ featuring Asking Alexandria’s Danny Warsnop on guest vocals, and now showcase their blistering new track ‘So Low.’ An emotional rollercoaster of Anthemic hard rock/alt with electronic overtones. Produced by Andrew Baylis (Bad Omens, Vrsty) and Jayden Panesso of Sylar. Video being produced and directed at Eric Dicarlo of Square Up Studios and Shi Eubank’s own home in Nashville.
“So Low” was so much fun to create. I did it with Producers Andrew Baylis and Jayden Panesso for the band Sylar. I told them I wanted to have a good blend of heavy and sing-along, so we did just that. The song is about the struggle of wanting to stay with someone that always puts you second. My favorite lyrics are in the pre-chorus “Holding on to nothing like it’s something I can’t live without”. I think everyone has felt that at some point in their lives. I hope it hits home” Comments Shi Eubank.
“I’ve had the general concept for a perspective video for a long time now, using a solo cup as the carrier. Continues Eubank. “As if someone was carrying the cup through a crowd or party. This was the video I was finally able to bring to life. This was also the first video that I have ever had the time to work with Eric DiCarlo and it was amazing. It was almost as if we had mental telepathy, the way we fed off of each other, LOL …. We cut two videos in 2.5 days and it was intense. He told me we needed a crowd of 20-30 people so I waited to make an IG post until about 6 hours before call time and over 200 people showed up to my house. It was also the first time I was able to shoot in my new house and I almost had a melt-down when it took 2 full days to get it cleaned”
Already completing live shows with Shinedown, Papa Roach, Sick Puppies, Popa Roach,’ Sick Puppies, Pop Evil, New Years Day and Memphis May Fire. Tour dates are in the planning for the 2nd half of the year. Definatley a band to watch out for.
