Rock outfit Venrez unveils their new single/AI music video, “Crossed The Line,” the second single from Venrez’s forthcoming EP, slated to drop via Wake Up! Music Rocks, the dynamic label founded by Pepper Gomez.
During the first week of commercial radio promotion in the U.S., “Crossed The Line” was the second most added track on the SMR Chart, as well as the second most added track on Mediabase’s Activator Panel.
According to Venrez, “The band looks for this track to become our fourth Top 40 U.S.A. radio hit!”
Made up of Ven (vocals), Jason Womack (guitar, vocals), Gabe Maska (bass), and Victor Singer (drums), since 2009, Venrez has released four albums and toured comprehensively, sharing the stage with bands such as Slash, Alice Cooper, Buckcherry, Fuel, Hardcore Superstar, Michael Schenker, and punk legend Richie Ramone.
Opening on heavy, crushing guitars, “Crossed The Line” settles into a brawny melody drenched in stellar accents atop Singer’s tight, potent percussion, giving the rhythm a galvanizing punch. A chugging bassline holds down the bottom end with throbbing energy. Ven’s trance-inducing vocals imbue the lyrics with portentous tones, adding an eerie sense of imminence while narrating convulsive events leading to an irrevocable outcome.
“Smell the future in the air / It’s going everywhere / Feel the warmth on my face / Rise up all with grace / What happens next / Is anyone’s guess … Crossed the line / No turning back.”
A dazzling guitar solo, incandescent and searing, infuses the tune with an implacable, scorching force, raw and risky.
The AI-generated video depicts Ven driving a red convertible Mustang through a dystopian landscape, complementing the fateful sensation of the music.
With “Crossed The Line,” Venrez demonstrates they have both the vision and artistic range to hold sway as one of rock’s best bands.
