On November 25, the beloved rock and post-hardcore label known as InVogue Records released a seasonal compilation titled “Happy Holidays, I Miss You.” The 11-track winter holiday special features iconic covers from up and coming bands including “Yule Shoot Your Eye Out” by In Her Own Words, “Christmas Eve Until I Leave” by Hotel Books, “Down Patton Hill (Christmas ’85)” by JT Woodruff of Hawthorne Heights, “Joy” by Woven in Hiatus, and much more.
Each track possesses a modern rock vibe with a traditional season’s greeting to the likes of jingle bells or acoustic guitars. This free compilation should help you cozy up with your loved one by the fire place, comfort you when you’re alone on Christmas Eve, or just act as a reminder for why you no longer show your face around your family during holidays.
The compilation is available for free download on Bandcamp with a “Pay What You Want” option. All of the proceeds will be donated in honor of a brother to In Her Own Words via the Jason Christopher Wilhelm Scholarship Fund with 100 limited-edition cds available for purchase in the InVogue Records merch store.
