Happy 10th Anniversary to Rock on the Range! This year’s event was by far the biggest and loudest yet. For those who don’t know, Rock on the Range (ROTR) is “… an annual rock festival featuring mostly mainstream rock bands, with a classic band usually headlining the show. The festival is held at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio”. The first Rock on the Range happened in 2007. It featured 14 bands, including Velvet Revolver, Evanescence, Buckcherry, Black Stone Cherry, and Papa Roach. In 2008, ROTR became a 2-day event that featured over 30 big name acts. By year three, ROTR turned into a 3-day festival. Today, it’s known as North America’s largest rock festival.
This year ROTR lived up to it’s promise, featuring some of the biggest names in music including the iconic Red Hot Chili Peppers. Keep reading to see more pictures of bands who rocked the range.
Five Finger Death Punch – several lucky fans got to hang and get photos with Five Finger Death Punch’s very own Kris Kael who was walking the grounds Sunday evening (the night after FFDP played).
Miss May I – Hailing from Troy, OH, this band looked right at home on stage at ROTR
Memphis May Fire – Matty Mullins has some epic ink to go along with his epic vocals. MMF rocked the range and got the crowd moving.
Jelly Roll – getting his drink on at ROTR, straight up.
Megadeth – a band that never fails to disappoint – they gave ROTR fans a chance to rock out to the finest, most pristine metal known to man.

Highly Suspect – Not only did this band rock the range, but their tattoos are pretty awesome to look at. If you haven’t seen them live yet, make it a point to go to one of their shows soon. They’re amazing!
Pennywise – this legendary punk band delivered an energy-packed perfromance, riling up fans at ROTR.
Butcher Babies – the picture pretty much speaks for itself. This beautiful, powerful band rocked the range for their adoring fans.
Wolfmother rocked the range with retro costumes and funky grooves.
HELLYEAH – there was no shortage of moshing when they hit the ROTR stage.
P.O.D. – Another picture that speaks for itself. Sonny spreads the love wherever he goes – he’s one of the nicest people we’ve met on the road.
Steel Panther – the epitome of 80’s glam. They held nothing back at ROTR, showcasing their raw talent as live performers.
These were just a few of the bands that performed this year at ROTR. If you want to go to next year’s festival (which we HIGHLY recommend), get your tickets early. ROTR 2016 sold out nearly 3 months in advance! Stay tuned for more pictures interviews from this year’s event.
