South Bend, IN rock band InGhosts have released the official music video for their new heavy-hitting single “Gravity“.
“Gravity” is a huge step in a new direction for us as musicians. We tackled a lot of new ideas with this song and couldn’t be more excited to share it with the world. Sometimes life can get heavy, but with a little company and togetherness, we can defy the weight inside. – Mike Kenway (Guitar/Vocals)
Mike feels that music is a way to deal with frustration, anger, depression, anxiety, fear, and doubt. He also feels that tattoos offer a personal reminder of facing these demons and fighting through them:
My whole life, I’ve been made fun of. I was too fat, too nerdy, I wasn’t good at sports, I didn’t wear stylish clothes, and I grew up in a town small enough for everyone in my school system to know all of those things. My tattoos are reminders to me every day that it’s okay to not be okay, and that we can always overcome and endure.
The equals sign shows my belief that we are all, regardless of background, worthy of each other’s love.
The ship and of course the semi-colon support the ‘authors’ decision to optionally continue the sentence when it could have just as easily had an abrupt end.
I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the love and support of my friends and family. It’s okay to ask for help, there’s so many of us on this plane here to support you through whatever you’re going through. As Garrett Rapp said, ‘Someday, someone, somewhere will need you’”
New things are always on the horizon for InGhosts. Until then, get out and see them on the road!
