Within the Metal world, lead vocalist Dez Fafara (Coal Chamber – now disbanded & currently DevilDriver) is somewhat of a “Renaissance Man” in terms of what he’s accomplished fronting two major bands, putting his own music career on the line by releasing Metal Outlaw Country album(s), his firm stance on pharmaceuticals and advocacy of marijuana, and even his choice to become Vegan.
We were fortunate enough to see Dez & DevilDriver on stage two times in four days, first at Rock USA in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and secondly at Inkcarceration in Mansfield, Ohio, where we filmed our interview with Dez. Additionally, we had some off stage/off-camera time with Dez when he was checking out Gemini Syndrome, featuring former Coal Chamber guitarist “Meegs”, side stage at Rock USA.
As you will see in Mischievous Mel’s interview with Dez at Inkcarceration Festival (held at the filming location for the hit movie “The Shawshank Redemption”), he’s also very passionate about ink. We talked about the stories behind his ink, what artist he will choose for his next tattoo, and more.
Enjoy, watch, and listen to our intense interview with Dez Fafara – right here – right now (and thanks for tuning in)!
