Tattoo.com and Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) proudly present Emerging Artist of the Week, Turnstile, a 4-piece hardcore band from Baltimore, MD. If you’re looking for a band that takes you back to the ’90s New York hardcore scene while kicking you in the nuts with “blistering, groove-laden metalcore“, this one’s for you. Members of Turnstile include vocalist Brendan Yates, guitarist B-rady, Freaky Franz on bass, D-Fang on drums.
The band formed in 2010 and released their first EP Pressure 2 Succeed in 2011 via Reaper Records. Since then, they’ve released Step 2 Rhythm, Turnstile Live at TICH 2013, and their latest album, Nonstop Feeling, which Punknews.org described as 2015’s “first and possibly finest harcore album”.
Since the release of Nonstop Feeling, Turnstile has been on the road pretty much nonstop, and they’ve been collecting an overwhelming number of loyal hardcore/punk fans along the way. They’ll be wrapping up their “Move Thru Me Tour” tomorrow night in Oakland, CA at the Metro Opera House.
