The wait is over. Your first line up announcement for Download Festival 20th Anniversary is here. Over 60 acts, will be joining already announced headliners Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot, and Metallica in 2023, with Metallica playing TWO sets on Thursday and Saturday. Along with Architects, Evanescence, Disturbed, Placebo, Parkway Drive, Ghost and many more acts to appear across four stages.
Legendary hard hitters Metallica will be returning to Download for the first time since 2012, and they’ve got a special treat in store – following on from American Festivals will play TWO sets with NO repeats being the first band EVER to do this on UK Soil. Headlining both Thursday and Saturday nights over this 4-Day 20th Anniversary extravaganza.
Friday – One of the UK’s biggest metal bands, we welcome Bring Me The Horizon to headline Download for the first time in 2023, giving moshpit classics like ‘Can You Feel My Heart’, ‘Throne’ and ‘Shadow Moses’, and with new music in the works, we’ve got a feeling this set could be one of their most epic shows yet.
Sunday – If there’s any band that belongs at the 20th anniversary of Download, it’s Slipknot. Being true Donington veterans, and with the release of their latest album ‘The End, So Far,’ are showing no signs of slowing down.
