Straight out of the Midwest with his eye on the bigger picture, Chicago Hip-Hop artist, Jay Hunna, releases some heat throughout the first single release, “Good Ol’ Music”, from his upcoming September 8th, 2017 release, ‘Better Days’. The track is a dedication to the fellow musicians who have helped Jay find his passion within and have lyrically guided him down the roads of life with their wisdom, fortitude, and grit.

Stepping out of a Maserati with a pep in his step in the music video for “Good Ol’ Music”, Jay lyrically praises those who have helped him become the artist that he is today which includes Biggie, Tupac, Scarface and more. Beyond the glitz and the glam, Jay Hunna is a man who has overcome life odds which have sprouted and inspired lyrical expression of above par and meaningful metaphors stating the reality of the nitty gritty and how to overcome.

Finding their way into the hearts and minds of truth-seekers, Jay’s lyrical delivery is boundless and the fluidity of his rhymes are ahead of his time. The cold hard fact of the Underground Hip-Hop world is that you live, learn and burn until the flame becomes a fire, and Jay has sparked a flame that isn’t going to be tamed.

Although it is just the beginning of what Jay Hunna is bound to bring to life, it is refreshing that there is a young artist who understands the direction that mainstream Hip-Hop/Rap has taken and in turn has maximized his potential to bring the game back to its roots. Keep an eye out because Jay is bound to be on the heels of fellow conscious rappers including Joey Bada$$, Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers over the years to come.
