A Michigan-based tattoo artist has created a galactic new cosmetic trend – Astro freckles. Individuals have always been fascinated with astrology and what role the stars are playing in their life. With this new trend, tattoo enthusiasts have a subtle way to pay homage to the stars.

This fad first began last year, but Jessica Knapik was the first to combine freckles and her client’s astrological signs. This newest twist has quickly captured the fascination of the internet.
Astro Freckles are the perfect tattoo alternative if you’re afraid of needles or if your job won’t allow you to have any obvious ink. It also has the opportunity to be incredibly personal since, according to Knapik, “you could get your mom’s astrological sign, your dad’s, your grandma’s, and kind of pay tribute without getting a giant heart that says ‘Mom’.”
To create the perfect fake freckles, you’ll need to see a trained Cosmetic tattoo artist who is specially trained in aesthetics – including beauty, face shapes, brow shapes, etc. The technique Knapik uses is semi-permanent, which means the freckles won’t last forever. This is another bonus because if you grow tired of your freckles you can stop getting them touched-up and watch them fade away.
The first step to creating Knapik’s galactic freckles is to draw a constellation on her clients face. Then she simply injects the freckle wherever there’s a star.
