The Annie Minogue Band releases their brand-new single, “NOW!,” a powerful, vibrant song that summons forth suggestions of Fleetwood Mac with its spellbinding amalgamation of rock, pop, and blues.
Made up of Nick Saya (drums), Nunzio Signore (guitar, vocals), Brian Karp (bass), Rob Clores (keyboards), and Annie Minogue (vocals), with “NOW!,” the band deals with urgent issues such as social justice, environmental concerns, and the hopes and dreams of today’s generation.
The Annie Minogue Band has toured extensively, sharing the stage with artists like Blues Traveler, The Smithereens, David Lee Roth, Chris Whitley, Soul Asylum, and Black Eyed Peas. Their music has been featured on film, TV, and radio such as: Lifetime Television, Sony Television, MSNBC, MTV, CBS, CW, WB, Dawson’sCreek, StrongMedicine, regional radio stations and the independent feature film Out of the Black.
Annie Minogue has been a singer, songwriter and musician her entire life. Her father was a professional musician and their household in New York City was always filled with music and talent, inspiring her to pursue her own creative inclinations. Her eclectic musical influences range from Patti Smith to Led Zeppelin.
“NOW!” opens on a delicious pushing, swaying motion, highlighted by tight, flat percussion, potent guitars, and low-slung keyboards. Minogue’s edgy, evocative vocals imbue the lyrics with smoke-tinged tones, conveying hints of portentous nuances, adding to the imminency of the song. The crisp notes of the rhythm contrast Minogue’s oh-so expressive vocals, giving the song a dark, oil poured on water sensation.
The Annie Minogue Band sounds confident and assertive on “NOW!,” finding fresh creativity in significant emotions and concepts.
