When you think of Australia, even from a music fans perspective, you don’t think of it as the birthplace of great metal bands. INXS – who was never mistaken for being a metal band – is the only Australian band that most people can identify, but over the past 10 years, a rising wave of Aussie Metalcore bands have been pounding the U.S. shores. Examples include: Thy Art is Murder, Parkway Drive, and The Amity Affliction – who we tracked down for an interview at the last Vans Warped tour stop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
