Comprised of former members of Pelican, Tusk, Unwritten Law, and the Rise, Aeges offers a little something for every rock and roll fan. The band has been compared to Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, and Muse. Their most recent album, “Weightless” via Another Century Records was released in July 2016. One fan desribes “Weightless” as an album that “oozes authenticity and the kind of paradoxically unhinged, yet controlled passion that you can’t fake.”
With the flurry of rave reviews circulating around this band, we were curious to catch their performance on Day 1 of Aftershock and witness for ourselves what all the hype has been about. After seeing them live for the first time, let’s just say that we get it. Aeges delivers an energetic punch of sound that satisfies the deepest and darkest rock and roll cravings.
We got a chance to chat with the band at Aftershock 2016. Our interview was going very well when it suddenly became epic. Will Carroll, drummer of Death Angel (and good friends with members of Aeges), bombed the interview, showed us his ink, and shared some naughty tour tales.
