Movies have been a huge part of our culture ever since they were first projected onto the big screen. Their storylines give us a distraction from our own lives and the troubles we go through. No matter what we’re facing, we know that we can go to the movies to be entertained and relax for a couple hours. This form of escapism allows us to get perspective on our own turmoil by stepping into the shoes of our favorite characters.
Within movie theaters, we experience a spectrum of emotions – we’re heartbroken when our characters fail and elated when they win in the end. These movies, whether we realize it or not, shape who we are. All of this probably explains why movie tattoos are incredibly popular. People want to immortalize their favorite films with some fresh ink and pay homage to a story they really connect to.
