About

Black Diamond Tattoo was established in 2008 by a team of artists who share a belief about what tattooing and the culture behind it is really all about. Since then we have brought together an amazing crew of talented tattoo artists as well as a consistent line up of guest artists who are known for bringing something more to the table than just putting ink on skin. It's because of this belief that we can say we truly bring something more to the table, and we can cater to any and everyone's needs. No request is too large or small. Our team of skilled artists take pride in their work as they continue to innovate themselves with new and improved techniques in tattooing. Every artist specializes in a specific style or genre of tattoo, and each bringing their own flare and expertise.

Greeting
We are located at 412 Lincoln Blvd, Venice CA 90291 (just south of Rose Ave) adjacent to Santa Monica and West Los Angeles; and we're open from 12pm to 9pm every day. We accept all major credit cards, however please inquire about payment prior to your appointment as some artists do require payment in cash. Walk Ins are welcome but we recommend appointments to ensure your artist's availability. To do so email info@blackdiamondtattoola.com or call 310-399-1177. California state law requires that YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE to receive a tattoo. Valid ID is required and parental consent for minors is not an option under any circumstance. Do NOT consume any alcoholic beverages during or within 24 hours prior to getting your tattoo. Do not take any drugs either. We will not tattoo anyone who is under the influence. You may bring a guest to accompany you for the process, but please do not bring an entourage. Keep in mind that the process may take several hours and that your guest will likely get very bored. A guest can be great for moral support, but please be courteous by not distracting your tattoo artist. Do not bring your children in the shop, and do not leave them in the car. No one under the age of 18 is permitted in the shop. Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are running late, please call and let us know. If you need to reschedule please call at least 24-48 hours in advance. No food is allowed in the tattoo area. Make sure you have eaten within 4 hours prior to your tattoo. Never get a tattoo on an empty stomach. Dress appropriately for your tattoo. Wear something that will easily expose the area that will be tattooed or bring a change of clothes. Please maintain good hygiene and do not arrive for your appointment sweaty, unshowered, dirty, and/or smelly. Please be realistic on your expectations of a tattoo. Your design may require time for the artist to draw and design, and we might recommend that you come back another day to allow ample drawing time. It is in your best interest not to rush the drawing process. Also keep in mind that your tattoo may take several hours or even several sessions. They make it look fast on TV, but LA Ink is not reality. Please do your homework. Tattoos are permanent and should be thought about carefully and thoroughly. If you don’t know what you want to get tattooed, you are probably not ready to get a tattoo. Don’t try to bargain the price of your tattoo. You are receiving a permanent piece of custom artwork, you’re not at a swap meet. Would you bargain with your doctor or dentist? Sailor Jerry said it best, “A good tattoo ain’t cheap, and a cheap tattoo ain’t good”. Please tip your tattoo artist. Tattoo artists are not paid a salary or hourly wage and rely on tips much like in other service industries. Your tip (large or small) is a great way to let your artist know that you are happy with the work they’ve done and is greatly appreciated by your artist. Please follow our aftercare instructions accurately. If you have a question regarding aftercare, please call the shop and ask a tattoo artist for assistance. Do NOT ask your friends or anyone else how to take care of your tattoo.
